Second National High-Voltage Testing Technology Training and Assessment Held in Xi'an with Xuzhihui Support

XI'AN, China — From June 28 to July 5, 2026, the Second National High-Voltage Testing Technology Training and Professional Competence Assessment was successfully held in Xi'an. High-voltage testing specialists from across China's power industry gathered for intensive theoretical training and hands-on assessment, with Xi'an Xuzhihui Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd. ("Xuzhihui") providing full support throughout the event.

Theory Training: Building Solid Foundations Under Expert Guidance

From June 28 to July 3, the "2026 Second National High-Voltage Testing Technology Training Program," hosted by the Beijing Electric Power Training Center, opened in Xi'an. The curriculum covered a wide range of specialized topics, including:

• application of high-voltage testing technology in UHV (ultra-high-voltage) projects;
• application of series resonant devices in power testing;
• common fault analysis and testing techniques for instrument transformers;
• verification techniques for current and voltage transformers;
• testing methods for on-load tap changers and zinc oxide surge arresters;
• grounding technology for electrical equipment and partial discharge detection.

Drawing on years of technical expertise and on-site experience in high-voltage testing, Mr. Zhang Zhencun, Chairman of Xuzhihui, was invited to serve as a guest instructor and delivered a special session on "Power Cable Testing and Detection." Classroom interaction was lively and the learning atmosphere was enthusiastic.

Practical Assessment: Putting Skills to the Test

From July 3 to 5, the professional competence assessment for high-voltage testing personnel was organized by the National High-Voltage Metrology Station and hosted by Xuzhihui. The hands-on assessment took place at Xuzhihui's factory, where the company had fully prepared the venue and calibrated testing equipment in advance. On the assessment day, the practice area presented neatly arranged equipment ready for the candidates.

Conducted in accordance with specification T/CEC 315—2020, the assessment was divided into Class I and Class II levels, comprehensively evaluating candidates' hands-on ability and on-site adaptability.

Throughout the assessment, candidates completed each practical subject in a standardized and skilled manner, while invigilators graded strictly. Many candidates noted that the theoretical knowledge gained during training was effectively tested and applied in practice, leaving a deeper impression. As the final candidate completed the operation, the assessment concluded successfully. Candidates who passed all required subjects will receive the "Power Industry Professional Competence Certificate" issued by the China Electricity Council. Valid for three years, the certificate can be queried and downloaded on the Power Industry Talent Development Service Platform.
